Speed Racer. Fite me if you disagree.

The last scene of the last episode is loving fantastic and one of my favorite series finales of all time.

Speed finally confronts Racer X and calls him out on being his missing brother Rex. He goes hard on Rex for lying and Rex responds by punching Speed in the gut to knock him unconcious and then he runs into his car and hops in. Someone calls out to Rex wondering why the hell he did it and Rex basically ducks the question. He then drives away. That's it, that's the last scene in Speed Racer.

Good? No. But my family enjoyed GotJ, DDR and Mr Magoo. The last is very quotable for kids. I haven't seen them since childhood and I probably won't until I have my own kids because they're just meant to be kids movies and they work wonderfully at that level.

I dragged two unwilling friends to see The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle in the theater and while they both hated the movie, they enjoyed watching how much I enjoyed the movie.

I'm going to admit it. I kinda like Scooby-Doo, it's not a good movie. It's not a movie that I want to watch often, but about once a decade, with friends, it's nice to have on.

I wish we got mean Rowan Atkinson anymore. Blackadder is one of my favorite shows but he's basically been on the Bean/English/Something Of That Variety treadmill for what, 20 years now?

At the very least, it's not a movie that coasts on its established name - I watched it for the first time a little while ago and had heard about the twist regarding the main villain going in, but there is still so much bonkers poo poo this movie pulls that I was honestly kind of riveted. Great cast, too.

I don't know the logistics of how to get 4 people's remote cameras to show up on stream. Nor would it be a good thing to look at, since it would take up a bunch of the screen. But if just Andrew (or whoever) wanted to stream it on cam, I could help out with that.

The Scooby-Doo movie was written by James Gunn, you can tell he's having fun with it which is SOMETHING compared to the more cynical/lazy adaptations. Its not incredible, but the cast is good, its colorful, and it has plenty of throwbacks to the show.

IIRC Leisure Suit Larry is one of the few games you can't stream on Twitch, unfortunately. They'd have to find another platform that would allow them to do it.

I hadn't seen it since it came out in theaters and I remembered liking it so I rewatched it for the episode. I knew I'd spent too much time in the Scooby rabbit hole because I just kept thinking "This is nowhere near as good as Scooby Doo on Zombie Island."

Zombie Island and Alien Invasion are the Scooby Doo things I watched the most. I even remember the clam shell VHS cases they were in.

The older episode of Scooby Doo where they hang out with the goth girl band was excellent too.

The Hex girls are from Witch's Ghost, the movie between ZI and AI. I know they show up later in mystery inc too but I didn't stick with it long enough.

I haven't seen anything of that current show where they do new celebrity appearances (And also the ghost of Abe Lincoln) but I did see the other day that apparently for their Valentine's day episode, to avoid the implication of Freddy and Daphne sleeping with each other they... I have definitely live with Velma and Freddy with Shaggy and Scooby.

I have regrets.

The commentary is great. But the movie. My god.

I've never seen a movie where every scene feels like it could be a deleted scene. It's almost impressive.

But that might be the worst piece of poo poo I've ever seen. What the gently caress was that?
