I’m always a little staggered whenever I think about how Cough followed up something as distinctive and lively as Ritual Abuse with something as bland as Still They Pray. Really hoping they get their poo poo back together for the next one. e: page snipe, listen to Pale Grey Lore’s Eschatology

I've been a huge fan of ERR for years, but I wonder when she's just going to cave in and start an actual metal band already. She's so metal-adjacent and guests for heavy bands so often that she might as well. Marriages is great, but they're alt-rock/hard rock at best.

I know RS had a reunion gig not too long ago, so maybe there's more on the horizon. Her last solo album sounded more like Marriages than her previous stuff and she toured with a full band this time, so that's probably the best we'll get for a while.

I love their new album, especially the second half. They're pretty great live. I'm interested in seeing them do the new material live, whenever that might happen. And they're great folks, too. If you happen to live around Hamilton and want some good vegan baked goods, they have a shop you should check out. And that cover is great. Been listening to it a lot.
