I admit I have never asked or considered it before, but I was sort of under the impression that your cervix should stop your uterus filling with water from the bath..?

I’m just saying, if the human genitalia was capable of sucking up and storing liters of liquid on the reg, humanity would never have invented buckets.

Sometimes, especially for IUD users, something gets through and you end up with a nasty pelvic infection. If she's doing Kegels in the bath to see how much filthy bath water she can suck up there, she's taking a gamble.

The common wisdom is that water does not enter the vagina when submerged in baths, swimming, etc. but there are a few papers that found women who did experience vaginal entrapment of water after bathing. So is it a common thing that goes unreported because it's not a big deal, or an uncommon thing that goes unreported because it's rare? the exception to this is is you're putting anything up in you while submerged, then water will come, too.

Don't forget that our overall understanding of AFAB and intersex genitals and bits and bops is way behind typical AMAB boots and bonts. The reason is sexism and the fact that doctors love loving up a baby's genitals for dumb cis parents who suck. The history of intersex "interventions" is an important reminder to never trust institutions, especially medical ones.

there wolf posted:It's fun to be reminded that for a lot of people, cops being the first call for literally everything, including stuff well outside their purview to deal with, isn't a bad thing that contributes to unnecessary harm and death. What the gently caress is a cop going to do about a black bear other than shoot it? They aren't animal control. It’s worth considering that for some amount of those people, they’re not necessarily calling the cops - especially if it’s something outside the obvious purview of what police should handle. It’s just that 911 will only really dispatch the cops. It makes a great come back to “Well who will you call if [absurd situation happens]?” in regards to defunding the police. The answer is still 911, just that they now can dispatch somebody with the skills to actually handle the situation - like animal control or mental health specialists. I've encountered black bears before. You tell at them and they run away. Whenever cops are called for large mammals in the city the cops shoot them to death Don't call cops for animal issues. They can't be trusted.
