The charred/well cooked crust and soft meat inside makes it tasty (for me at least) but by god the kebab shops are dreadful in here so I get what you mean. I also swear it tastes better when cut by hand instead of machine cut. Tried to catsnipe but imgur app is not giving me proper link. Will catsnipe in the morning. I grew up in the Middle East. The donner kebabs here in the UK are awful. They are nothing like how proper shawarmas etc are supposed to be.

My dad noticed that the guy cutting the doner at the kebab shop he goes to is left handed and brings it up every time he gets a kebab from there.

That video makes rounds in the Turkish facebook/twitter circles every year or so now. Stacking kofte with doner would be too much tho. Pizza with doner is okay imo.

Yeah, when I was a postman and walking 8-10 miles a day while lugging around heavy bags, I ate more than ever before and still lost weight. Unfortunately, when I stopped being a postman and moved to a more sedentary job, the weight piled back on really quick because I got too used to eating like that.
