I'm tempted to get it, but if its an uglier, clunkier MHW then I'll probably give it a pass.

It's much faster paced. It's much less serious business. There's much more customization. It's WAY more anime.

Edit: It's also much more fun, imo.

I think EA's just a really lazy publisher that doesn't co-ordinate its studios at all recently. Either they're extremely incompetent or extremely lasseiz-faire.

EA may not give a poo poo about the players, but they sure as hell listened when Disney got involved.

If you're one of the lucky people enjoying Titanfall 2 for the first time, do give Frontier Defence (the co-op multiplayer) a try, even if you don't usually enjoy MP in shooters; it's fun as hell.

/edit: Small tip: If you're not in the states, check your data centre before going into MP, it's on the lower left corner:

Since I'm in Latin America it defaults to Sao Paulo, which has... literally nobody playing, so I never get any games. Just click it and pick the lowest ping US server you have available:

So did Respawn get blackmail material on whoever runs EA after they hosed them on Titanfall 2 because it astounds me that they were allowed to release a complete singleplayer Star Wars game with no season pass or microtransaction bullshit.

After the debacle that was Battlefront 2's microtransactions being so hated it got multiple countries looking into if lootboxes should be classified as gambling, one can only imagine Disney was loving pissed.

EA signed an exclusive 10 year contract to make Star Wars games on console/PC in 2013. By 2017 they had only put out two games (and Battlefront 1 also caught some ire for being a relatively bare-bones multiplayer only game) and cancelled multiple projects.

I think Disney is starting to breath down EA's neck with how much they've hosed things up. BF2's MTX never came back after being removed I believe, they're saying Squadrons isn't going to have any kind of DLC and apparently Fallen Order was another Metroidvania that Respawn was working on that was quickly re-fit into being a Star Wars game.

Yeah, you can pick which difficulty levels you want to queue for so you can just look for easy games which are... well, easy. I've never lost an easy/normal game even when queueing with all randos (hard is another story, and master is for insane people). You just may eat poo poo if all 4 of you are queueing for the first time and don't know the map, but it's still super fun learning the ropes.

Turrets are really good in Frontier Defence, so save for those whenever posible. You can have 2 out per player and you just repair them if they go down (it's free and instant). Same for the arc mines, they rearm themselves after a while.

/edit: for the love of god, HUNT THE MORTAR TITANS DOWN. They will wreck your poo poo if you leave them alone. Also don't ignore Reapers. :v:

It's a game that seems to wind up on a lot of people's wishlists, and last month finally got an English translation that doesn't suck. It's a substantial game, well worth the price. You do want to have a decent amount of ram, it's got a pretty bad memory leak that makes it really crashy if you've only got like 4 GB or less.

I wouldn't play it over a Dark Souls game, the combat is not as good a Dark Souls and I couldn't make hide nor hair of the plot. But I liked it enough to stick through with it, there is enough customization and the combat is adequate.

If you've played all the Dark Souls games and need to scratch that itch, it's fine to get it for 40% off.

Whoa, agree to disagree. I felt 2 was better than 3 personally. More character customization options that aren't covered in tape for no reason, a better storyline (Still... Extremely anime, but I liked it more anyways), and it has the good bullet crafting instead of the nerfed stuff in 3. I liked the Blood Arts in 2 more than the Burst Arts in 3 and 3 is also missing I WILL WIIIIIIIN mode which is just depressing. Besides, if you get 2 you also get the 1 remake, so hey.

Same here. I bought an Xbox Elite 2 and while it feels great in hand, the lack of gyro often makes me go back to the DS4 in PC games where gyro aiming makes an improvement - which is any game with aiming really. Regret buying it now, though the buggy software doesn't help either.

Steam's ability to add gyro aiming to any game is a huge feature. BotW/Warframe on the Switch showed me how good gyro aiming can be and I now use Steam to add it to every PC game where it makes sense to run a controller.

The back buttons on the DS4 and Xbox Elite are great, but wish they were exposed as real buttons so Steam can remap them like any other button. Windows needs to add better handling for controllers and not just treat everything as the lowest common denominator.

I use this software to remap the back paddles on my Elite 2 controller to other things like keyboard combos and such. Or for games like FFXIV, I use it to turn them into modifier keys like Alt, Shift or Ctrl then press a face button (so it's like having another multiple sets of LT/RT commands for them).

oh no

I finally got up to making a metalworking station in Autonauts and it requires power and is complicated to make

my usual strategy of "one product, one crafting station" might not work so well

Is there a way to get bots to wait in line until the first bot is done with the station?

My usual go-to is Until ? Empty, which waits for the finished product to be cleared off the station output. So you have like one bot making an item then taking it to a box and in the meantime the next one's popped on to have their go.

How I actually solved that issue was to simply mass produce windmills using my 'construction yard', which was just an area I marked out with stepping stones and programmed bots to just watch that area and deliver materials to whatever blueprints were in it, so I could just plonk down any arbitrary number or type of blueprint and leave them to assemble it while I did something else, since once things are built you can just delete them back to 'storage' and put them where you actually want them.

Even with the improved translation, the tutorial can be a bit heavy with all the new stuff you'll have to learn. Don't worry too much about it, the main campaign starts off quite easy. You'll have plenty of time to figure out what's what.

Yeah I've got one of those

I should probably adjust it so the sign designating the construction yard isn't dead center, though

The "Until ? empty" seems like it'd work fine for like, two

There's something like ten things I can make in the Crude Metal Shop, although I think some of them are just higher-durability versions of existing tools I have production lines for. I think metal picks and buckets are the important ones.

... I think a combination of having bots yell when they're done to alert the next bot in line it's their turn might work, along with using metal picks to make stone blocks something I can set up a fire-and-forget production line for so I can make more stations
