Just did some googlin around and the lead singer is openly antisemitic and believes in a Zionist conspiracy to take over the world. He has expressed support for national socialism in the interviews that he gave to neo-fascist websites and outlets.

Please excuse me while I scrub their albums off my hard drive

On one hand they should probably be dropped

On the other hand, it would be cool to see a bunch of heshers in cutoffs drop them into a large swimming pool

In an official statement via Facebook, Mgła referred to themselves as the “target of [a] smear campaign,” while threatening to bring legal action against “sources which are publishing defamation in print.” But at least one of the band’s two members has undeniable connections to NSBM: frontman and multi-instrumentalist Mikołaj Żentara (“M.”) has a solo project, Leichenhalle, that released an album called Judenfrei (“Free of Jews”) and featured song titles such as “Jerusalem in Flames,” “Different Solution,” and “China Scum.”

Ever wonder what Bell Witch would sound like with more traditional vocals? Yeah, me too. Probably one of the most beautiful doom albums to be released in some time. I hope this collaboration yields even more material.

I think that if you liked the music before you learned that the people who made it have a bad ideology then you might as well keep the mp3s on your computer, since it's the same music.

I've yet to listen to anything that makes up for someone's awful ideology.

We don’t need to have this argument for the 8,000th time just because it’s in S/D/S and not the main metal thread. None of you are going to change how you handle your own personal library.

Come hang out assuming you like subgenres other than the ones discussed in this thread! Just don't bring up Ghost.

Haha I actually love other genres but I never knew if it would be too broad for what I like! My fave subgenres of metal are s/d/s. I like death metal and metalcore too but I feel I would be lightyears behind on any of those threads.

The metalcore thread is pretty slow moving. Death metal is definitely the most beloved subgenre in the main one. There's a reason the title is BOLT THROWER.

Pre-orders for Malsten's debut album, The Haunting of Silvåkra Mill, go up July 3rd.

It's some really, really solid Swedish trad doom. Four tracks, average length 10 minutes and change, all flows together fantastically well. Just a heads-up, if that's one of your preferred flavors.
