Oh yeah I totally get it, was just a bit jarring of a time warp, especially with recent events. Also that movie holds the gently caress up, and has a straight up amazing cast. One of Randy Quaid's finest performances, Robert Duvall is perfect, Michael Rooker gets to not be the bad(dest) guy for once, Cruise and Kidman are entirely likeable, John C. Reilly owns and Cary Elwes is just delicious.

Yeah. That's a loving noose. Clearly not one left with actual (or at least specific) ill intent, but I can't fault the crew member who reacted how they did.

Seems to be extremely unfortunate Wallace ended up in the only garage with a noose handle, if it was truly there 8 months ago The guy who tied it in the first place definitely knew what he was doing tho

Not only are the odds astronomical, this was the first time the top series has ever raced at Talladega in June since the track opened in 1969 So take all that and throw in the current social climate plus the flag ban and BLM car and its no wonder it was reported. NASCAR did the right thing

Its pretty silly that NASCAR sat on the picture for this long. Should of been released when the FBI gave their findings.

You guys! I wanted to come back and show some support for this loving place in its hour of need. I should post more to contribute to this community. Edit- To contribute, I really don't think NASCAR did anything wrong in this situation. I know that there has been some bullshit on Twitter, but 90% of the world doesn't pay attention to Twitter. It isn't like NASCAR waited weeks to release the picture, it's Thursday, the incident was reported on Sunday, and the investigation completed on Tuesday. What should be remembered was that NASCAR did the right thing, the 43 team did the right thing, and that we should all be happy that there isn't a wanna-be lynch mob hanging out in the garage area in secret. Personally I see this as a positive moment for NASCAR. SpitztheGreat fucked around with this message at 06:09 on Jun 26, 2020 |

This conversation came up in another thread elsewhere on the forums recently but it wouldn't surprise me that, if you did enough digging, that most of the English language probably has words/phrases/sayings with hidden racist/bigoted meanings at this point. There's some suggestion "Master bedroom" is racist, though it's unconfirmed.
