In the age of digital, I still listen to a transistor radio when I'm out for long walks. Sometimes it's talk radio. Sometimes it's local top-40 or classic rock. It's interesting how DJs have their pet favorites which wind up in the rotation far more often than they should (some of these songs you don't hear on other competing stations whatsoever). Anyway, here are some songs that I have grown fond of because I've heard them often enough on local radio.

I'd like to know yours as well.

Kenny MacLean: Don't Look Back

Terence Trent D'Arby: Wishing Well

Strange Advance: We Run (Point of the Knife)

Rock and Hyde: Dirty Water

Gerry Rafferty: Right Down the Line

Simple Minds: Alive and Kicking

Carly shook her glass, willing the ice to melt. "You still haven't told me what the mission is."

She leaned forward. "We are going to assassinate the bad men of Hollywood."

Richard Marx - Should've Known Better

Now this song is pretty much a direct rip-off of Don Henley's Boys of Summer. But it's still pretty good. My local classic rock station really loves it for whatever reason.

I remember that one! It was overshadowed by Right Here Waiting and Hold on to the Nights, but it was a good one.

I think this is it... I think this is how it ends
Way back in 2003, Pete Tong dropped this as his essential new tune and positively dared people to guess who it was:

Didn't know Elton had serious disco chops, but this is an absolute banger

That's pretty uplifting. Nice contribution. Thanks!

That's a little heavy for my taste. Closest I can come would be this:

That's a new one to me. Of course, I was the 12th view of that particular video, so there are a whole lot of people yet to discover it!
