Kunio would be pretty interesting just to see Sakurai’s 3D take on that classic sprite. I’m confident he’d do like he did with Mega Man and the Belmonts.

At this point my impressions of Min Min, having played both as her and against her, is that she is unfortunately not very good. She has a lot of the same problems that Little Mac has, namely that she has a poor recovery and not great (but not as bad) aerials. She is frequently reduced to only having a few possible mixups and, ironically considering her range, she is both easily camped and relatively easy for the high tier aggressive fighters to approach. Still fun, but I wouldn't expect to see her too much competitively outside of some insane Japanese Min Min God

Ridley's Skewer does 6% more on hit (for a total of 69%, nice), but: https://twitter.com/butols_buto/status/1277780281466875904?s=20 It was a successful hit, you can see Mario took the full damage, but he didn't crumple. This seems to consistently happen straight out of dthrow, which was never a true setup anyway, but was a halfway decent mix-up that could catch an opponent mashing airdodge or attack. It may just be a glitch, but I think the damage buff is supposed to be a trade off for this, which isn't worth it at all because now Ridley's Skewer, which takes half a second to come out, is unsafe on hit. So, that's pretty annoying. I'm glad for all the characters that got buffs (they may have went a little ham on Falco imo), but both of my characters got band-aid buffs and one got a huge stealth nerf, which leaves me a little bitter. Here's hoping it really is a glitch and it'll be fixed along with Min Min's persistent long arms in the kill screen in patch 8.x.0. Maybe I'll pick up Meta Knight, he was always fun.

Ever since Sakurai mentioned how they had Horikawa (vegeta) do voice work for Captain Falcon in the Min Min trailer, and how that's the first time they had him record for Smash since 64, i've been wondering if maybe Horikawa was already there doing voice work for an upcoming character, and Kunio-kun is one of his few video game roles.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but a lot of smashtubers or scene guys are posting on twitter going "I'm so loving disgusted with this community" "I can't loving believe what is happening" "People need to be punished." and I can't figure out what the hell any of them are talking about because it's all vague. Alpharad, Coney, Wizzy etc What is actually happening

Dedede buffs feel great. Uair and Fair kill much more easily, uptilt is basically Mario upsmash now, and downtilt sends at a super low angle which makes it even better at ledge. Dedede's biggest weakness was every move launching super far but not killing, and having more reliable kill options really helps with that.

He initially received a one-year ban for bracket manipulation.

Yeah I just spent about an hour and a half absolutely deleting new min mins on quickplay. The buffs didn't change anything fundamental, but they sure made it easier to mess people up all around.
