Has this Covid dealie likely altered your life long-term when it comes to social outings? Will you go back to the movies this year, or ever again? How about dining in at a restaurant? Going to a bar? Attending a major sporting event or a concert?

Or have you decided that many or all of those things just aren't that important to you after all?

A recent survey shows that most Americans are still hesitant to return to movie theaters:

When theres something like a vaccine or immunisation or whatever, sure.

Live in one of the remotest cities on earth, we have no cases right now, but I still walk to work when i can (winter and the busses are generally empty or I get off) and safe distance, shop little, dont go out etc...

The idea of a gig with everyone seated sounds nice tho, gently caress standing for 2+ hours.

That's it? Kaput forever? Even if there's a Covid vaccine next year, you're done with the IMAX experience?

I'm whole heartedly expecting it all to descend into a mad max scenery in a few years, I've moved on to entertainment I can whittle out of a potato with broken bits of plastic and metal. Turns out you can easily shape a penis, it's hours upon hours of endless entertainment.

Yes, sure. Corona hasn't been a big issue here for almost 2 months now and now that places have been opening up I've been to restaurants and seen a movie. Still keep my distance and all that but restaurants have been open for a month now and it hasn't caused a spike in cases.

I'll probably wait about a month before going back to movie theaters/concerts/sporting events/restaurants -- enough time to let the first wave of comebackers get & be diagnosed with coronavirus and die/recover.

lol I stopped going to the movies like 10 years ago because 99% of it is garbage now. Avoiding a mass shooting and COVID are just incidental bonuses.

Is that the movie with Pete Davison in it? Where he tattoos a nine-year old? Because it looks pretty dreadful in the promos.

Movie theaters, no. I want that industry to die and have pay to stream for new releases, it's so much nicer.

Indoor restaurants with masks and social distancing actually followed, sure, down the road but outdoor or take out is preferred.

I love going to amusement parks and want to go back to Disneyland. It is just stupid to go during this mess, even with masks and social distancing.. I don't know when I'll be comfortable enough/ safe enough to go back.

Covid ain't really a thing anymore where I'm at so no, though admittedly it was pretty surprising to see a club that crowded. Everywhere else that's open is pretty sparsely seated.
