It's incredibly questionable to even let people use those tags to begin with if they result in an autoban. Except the Ban Me tag, that one is self explanatory and I think it's probably useful for people to be able to get themselves banned with minimal effort (if they actually want to be banned).

TERF's attempts to 'gotcha' Margret Atwood are pretty sad really. Oh she supports trans rights? Well 9 years ago you sent a message to Maxwell on twitter so guess you're a paedophile now, if only she had said Trans people were subhuman like they wanted her to.

If I had to guess I would say it's because Clownfish change their sex through their life. They are all born male then one becomes female.

I think, from context of it being arguing with terfs, its to do with the fact that Clownfish change their sex. From wikipedia (anemonefish being another name for clownfish):

Wikipedias page on Clownfish posted:

In a group of anemonefish, a strict dominance hierarchy exists. The largest and most aggressive female is found at the top. Only two anemonefish, a male and a female, in a group reproduce – through external fertilization. Anemonefish are sequential hermaphrodites, meaning they develop into males first, and when they mature, they become females. If the female anemonefish is removed from the group, such as by death, one of the largest and most dominant males becomes a female. The remaining males move up a rank in the hierarchy.

I remember this because its been brought up (jokingly) as a nit-picky gotcha about Finding Nemo. When Nemos mother died, technically Marlin should have become female. As to exactly what they mean by it, I dont know, but if its terfs I guarantee it'll be poorly thought out, dehumanising and terrible.

It's perfectly in character for Marlin to remain the second most dominant person in a group of one

Honestly Nemo was the mother of the pair in Finding Dory. I liked how he spent the whole movie calling Marlin out on his poor treatment of her. Just "We're out here because you were an rear end in a top hat and she ran away, just pull your head out of your butt and let's get this mildly dangerous stunt overwith."

The replies to the original tweet are surprisingly good. I was expecting a wave of HAHA MILLENNIALS ARE STUPID but it's all people pointing out that using the internet to find answers to problems is an underappreciated skill and younger Millennials and Gen Zs are killing at it.

Seriously, I've given up on the number of times I've told a coworker or family member to google something if they don't know it. My mother acts like I performed magic when I fix something comperty, even though I tell her over and over that all I did was google the problem. Last Thanksgiving my father was away, and apparently no one else knew how to carve a turkey. Ten minutes of watching different relatives gather around the bird like they had to perform open heart surgery, and I gave up and pulled up a video on youtube. Hell, 30 minutes ago I was in a meeting where no one knew what an acronym meant until a couple of us pulled it up on our phones. Learning how to access information is a life skill.

This is literally the only reason I'm the immediate family tech support. Because I google a thing. I explicitly and many times told my mom when she got her smartphone. "Don't ask me when you have problems, I have a droid. Ask your other daughter, she has an iphone as well."
Not to mention how many times I've had to sort out computer things, god.
