IceAgeComing posted:Group promos are up - since its a mystery card rather than do promos for each match they did them by faction, the TCS one is, well, its something. They also have uploaded the ten-bell salute and Jungle Kyona's pre-show speech. In your opinion, do you think stardom would consider uploading any of these moments to youtube?

they shared Kyona's speech on their twitter but not anything else: the promos get gifd all the time (and they don't care; part of their marketing) so they probably expect that one to get out. I imagine if they haven't put anything on YouTube yet they won't - the ten bell probably airs on their TV show whenever they start featuring new content again and they upload that so it will get up there and it wasn't a major ceremony because they couldn't do one because of the COVID; I'd suspect that if they do something big they might put that on their YouTube.

I'm so loving sad for Kyoko. The production company and TV company absolutely could have done ANYTHING more than they did to protect their cast member who was getting abused for decisions they made.

a lot of you had probably already realized the tv show was forcing her to be the 'bitch' character in the first place but for some reason it didn't click for me that she wouldn't be involved in 'creative' the same way she would in wrestling, until that became 100% public. FujiTV should be sued to hell and it's very sad that it won't happen

I dunno if there's really any place to post this, but ever since that plus Arisa's troubling tweet I just kinda tense up and unconsciously go "oh no" whenever I see this thread is bumped or I check my Joshi Twitter list and I see there's a lot of posts. Often it's usually nothing (The Sendai Girls love to post) but...not fun!

That's why I always try to post other news in this thread - I don't want to make it seem like I'm ignoring the Hana Kimura news (I don't comment because like what exactly can I say other than gently caress Fuji TV and screw Bushiroad; its not something that I really have different opinions on and others say what I'd say much better) but I think that sometimes some slightly happier news can do people a bit of good especially in this year. One thing worth mentioning: DDT had their first all-women's main event last week - the final match of Saki Akai's seven match trial series against Meiko Satomura; I imagine initially intended for Peter Pan at Saitama but the COVID sort of ruined that so instead it was the main event at Shinjuku FACE - and DDT uploaded it onto their YouTube for free. Very good match: Saki Akai has significantly improved in recent years and while a few years ago this match would have been a bit of a struggle it isn't really here, and Meiko Satomura is, well, Meiko Satomura; she's one of the greatest wrestlers of all time and its very good. Worth watching! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPq_ccjezkI

https://twitter.com/ThatDamn_Chris/status/1281187519300804608?s=20 The next Diana dojo show is being live streamed on youtube again. The last one was a load of fun so I'd worth checking it out. Notable because Diana was always especially stingy with footage getting out so hopefully this is an indication that is changing. They aired some shows on Nico earlier this year and then these two dojo shows so already there's more 2020 Diana available to watch than there is from all of the years before combined. Shame that they'll probably never put up the famous Aja Kong-Sareee matches from last year (which reportedly were MOTY level matches from people that were there live) but oh well.

There's a lot of emphasis on the live performance side, including elaborate dance routines before the show and the roster acting in plays in addition to wrestling. Hotta's management style was very unique to say the least and she clearly favoured Saori Anou, who left the company a few months ago, over the rest of the roster. There was a show last year where Anou wrestled Yoshiko in the main event and after the show Hotta cut a promo basically saying that the whole roster's performance wasn't good enough with the sole exception of Anou and they had embarrassed her in front of Yoshiko. It was weird and awkward and Yoshiko looked completely uncomfortable with it.

SEAdLINNNG's new rookie Riko Shirai has been given the ring name "Riko Kaiju", perhaps to avoid comparisons with the sisters of the same name, or perhaps to invite comparisons with 100 metre tall monsters who ravage Tokyo. I can't say for sure.
