Whoosh The architect did not decide to cut metaphorical corners when switching welded joints to bolted, sure, that was the builder who got the OK from someone in engineering. But look at the base of the building and look at the literal words "cutting corners"

Lysenkoism anyone It should be pointed out that Lysenko was allowed to pursue his crazy theories because his one crazy theory, vernalization, ended up working and ending a famine early, saving many lives. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vernalization So he got a little carried away, but he did have an important, positive effect on soviet agriculture before he started getting blamed for everything.

Ottawa senators are a hockey club in Canada. They use a Roman senator as their logo (mostly, other times it's just a gaping vag). Goalie Andrew Hammond hopped off the bench to go on literally one of the most insane and out of nowhere tears by any athlete ever and got them into the playoffs and an overtime goal away from the championship. He was given the nic name hamburger (Ottawa is a mix of French and English but I assure you it makes sense). He became such a sensation that fans started throwing McDonald's burgers at him at the end of games. I think he got free burgers for life from a local McDonald's or something. The free burgers for life thing is probably true. They love doing that since it's good PR. You get a card that you can present at any US McD and get as much food as you want. Donald Turnip has claimed that he is one of those people, but twice I have seen people who claim to be employed there check the database and he's obviously not in it. Content:
