Why is it that Wikia articles read like a high schooler trying to hit the word count on an essay? Why bother writing "scheming" or "swaggering around" on an article about a villain? Why am I in my late 20s and reading a Wikia article for a Young Adult book series? Or, take this example of Joaquin Phoenix's joker:  I love all of the little details they add, all of the trivial, unnecessary information they chuck in there. They all read like the same person wrote them. Who writes this poo poo? Thread to share examples of dumb Wikia entries.

Many years ago I was reading character synopses from the 1996 Sonic the Hedgehog OVA movie (movie owns btw) and my eyes widened when I noticed a peculiar presence of clickable blue text on a sonic the hedgehog wikia. The consequences of what I saw, and all of the horrific possibilities laid out in front of me felt monumental. "What secrets lie in the official canon??" I had to know what was on the other side of these words. My mouse cursor flew to it. But when I clicked on it ... quote:

Thomas discussed him as a possible, yet unlikely, candidate for a "second banana" character to be playable in Super Smash Bros.
