The head of a major research publication made a crude sexual joke that people thought was unprofessional and the same people defending the guy are the same people that would be saying behind close doors that some people don't belong in the workplace because they can't take a joke. Somehow the takeaway from all this is people are upset about a worm being made fun of.

She recently put out a good video looking at the history of the Brony fandom and its future and not everyone involved in the fandom appreciated it. There are a couple points where I think she probably should have blurred faces but there's no way to identify a person from the video alone. And yeah, the EQ daily comments are hilarious. Basically consists of a couple dozen bronies who all 'skimmed' the video (how you skim an hour long video broken up into like 10 different sections is beyond me) and complaining that her jokes aren't factually accurate and also that the fandom isn't dying. They're really mad about that last point.
