Kind of rap adjacent but I've been watching some old Bobby Brown concert footage and goddamn could he perform. The beat after the switchup at the end is the better one for sure. Overall it took me a couple listens but I'm into this, definitely looking forward to hearing more from him soon. I feel like we've been saying "just wait, Ski Mask has a really good album in him" for a couple releases now but this time, I swear.

And I'm also a big fan of new jack swing. Guy was probably my first favorite music group. Honestly surprised it's not seen a bigger revival (although I think that Bruno Mars song was very similar).

I've liked his releases for the most part, but I don't know if he's had a definitive album yet. I will say I think he's actually a lot better at making songs/albums than a dude like Montana of 300 who absolutely seems to destroy any beat he's on that's hot, but can't make original music to save his life (outside of Fire in the Church which I think was an original beat).

He took issue with that (I think that’s fair, who is some random on Twitter to say that a bunch of black women aren’t black enough?) But he kept @ing her and her defenders for like two weeks and just wouldn’t let it go. Multiple people were saying “hey dude love your work but uhhh what’s up with this maybe you should drop it” and he would just get more and more aggressive. I used to love Kweli but I dunno, it kinda ended up pretty gross. Looking into it he’s had a few other issues with women through the years that don’t paint it in a good light either

I can imagine looking up to em when you were younger but lmao at still wanting to work with him in 2020. I pretend he died in a plane crash in like 2004 and it works pretty well for me (and even better for him).
