It's good that Chicago seems to (a) take itself to have commitments to indigenous nations and (b) take those commitments seriously. However, I'm still skeptical that it's right to keep the Black Hawks name.

Not sure what's funnier, a "we support the black community" message that can't bring itself to say black lives matter or the cartoon red man avatar wearing a cartoon headdress saying that headdresses are banned for being racist. Like, seriously, the hawks org saw all the other teams doing the right thing and decided to kick the can for a few more years because their dumb gently caress reasons are "better" that the dumb gently caress reasons the other holdouts clung to for so long. Get hosed.

The whistles in the exhibition games are really weird. At least in Toronto, when they stop play you hear a second whistle with what sounds like a really heavy attack delay. I'm hearing a few other audio glitches with a similar effect today and wondering if it's some audio cue for the crowd noise. I also like that they still haven't figured out how to get the refs mics on the broadcast.
