This is a series I did on a huge sandstorm. I started with some bare sketches:

Then I decided to zoom out:

I'm not super happy with any of that, so I decided to zoom out a bit more and see if I could get something better by changing the media. I'm happy with this piece:

Especially because it's in real-time in Unity and can (in theory) be animated.

I run a small Leftube channel and just finished my longest video yet - "You couldn't make Blazing Saddles Today!" which addresses and rebukes the now-common adage. It really took a lot of research and combing through old westerns to get it done, but I'm super pleased with the result! Any subs/whatever go a long way.

Friends, I bought cheap lovely oil paints and I made a tiny Bob Ross. It was fun as heck.

in retrospect the old redtext was a little over the top, I think I was in a bad mood that day. it appears you've learned your lesson about slagging our gods and masters at beamdog but I'm still going to leave this av up because i think its funny

god bless

I can't draw at all so I couldn't design it really beforehand, I was just making it up as I went and hoping it would work in the end.

I'm not really an AMV guy but my friends wanted an AMV to promote their Bandcamp Friday release. I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, especially considering i want able to even get started in earnest until yesterday, and crunched hard until 6am this morning to get it done in time.

I'd have liked more time to tweak the screen boom effects and the video scratching in the third verse but that's art i guess

Hope you like it!

This is just some loving around that got out of hand during Covid, or I guess a humorous, ephemeral art series in an organic medium

I've been making designs out of fruit on our morning oatmeal. Everything completed between when I start heating the water for the oats and when they finish cooking, photographed with my phone, then eaten.

But now I've made 99 of them.

I'm probably going to make a little calendar for the 20 people who heart them on instagram, and maybe eventually put together a small book on Blurb or something.

A sampling...

I made this while learning the Doogie Howser theme on my piano. Playing it slowly over and over to learn the fingering had me like "hang on,"

I really love collaging/photobashing together original Star Wars blaster designs from random obscure firearm/airgun/etc. parts in photoshop. Some of these have ended up in swd&d tabletop campaigns and I've made some 3d models as well but none are in a finished state yet. Some of these might end up as physical props if I ever get the chance since I've been really wanting to make my own original bounty hunter/smuggler/scoundrel type character cosplay up for once cons start up again after covid.

I'm curious which ones people like this best?

Just because Liquor's dead, doesn't mean you can just roll this bitch all over town with "The Freedoms."
Had this animation on the backburner for a while and it's finally done after ~5 months rendering time. More chaotic than usual so Youtube compression kind of mangles it but it's still acceptable at 1080p. Next project is another VR animation, I have some ideas I want to try out.

Railfan videography has been a hobby of mine for several years and I've always strived to produce the best possible quality I can. This year I got a new camera and started experimenting with HDR video and I think I've only now gotten it right with my latest video from a photo charter day on the WW&F railway in Maine. There is room for improvement as there is some audio clipping on the whistles, but overall I think this is the best quality video I've produced.
