Streetbeefs is opening up a new Tidewater chapter called Undisputed, to be run by underboss Cornflake. Videos will air on the regular channel as usual. If you were hoping for a Scarface All Stars, you will be disappointed; it's just a local promotion for people that couldn't travel to the regular events.

There is also a California event coming late July/early August.

In the latest Scarface Being Sketchy news, the Virgina Athletic/Boxing Commission finally got ahold of him and told him that he has to carry insurance on his business.

But he still says that it's not a real fight promotion and he can't pay fighters.

Beef bulletin
• Next event is going to be a Streetbeefs Mixers Extravaganza, where fighters are matched without regard for skill levels or weight classes
• Going forward, new fighters need more than three yard matches on their records to level up to Superstars and fight the more familiar competitors
• Streetbeefs is now defined as a "club", perhaps in an attempt to avoid problems with the athlete/boxing commission
• Streetbeefs expects loyalty from their fighters and will be operating on a poorly-defined "one strike and you're out" policy, somehow, weeding out disloyal fools that won't promote them on social media
• It's very hot in Virginia

We are our own group, but now we are under the streetbeefs name. We can pretty much do what we want as long as it stays in the spirit of streetbeefs. I plan on putting on good quality fights roughly every 4-6 weeks.

Our next fights are on sat AUG 29th also looking to do a bjj tournament on a different date.

No, paying fighter is illegal.

I did a grappling match.

No, paying fighters isn't illegal.

If you're going to run a fighting promotion, you should get licensed and use the revenue you generate to not exploit the fighters for your personal gain.

Here is where you get your promoter license.

Here is where you get your referees licensed.

Here is where your fighters get licensed.

Don't fall for Scarface being a sketchy gently caress and telling you that it's not legal to pay fighters. Just because he's a piece of poo poo who sheltered a pedophile and profits off of others getting brain damaged for free doesn't mean you have to do the same.

If you're using Washington's mutual combat laws to get around poo poo, be careful because Washington doesn't have mutual combat laws. It just has it's laws written in a way so that there is no crime if two people fight, are not in a domestic relationship, and decide not to work with prosecution. So if someone fights and decides they got hurt a lot worse than they expected they could most likely press charges against at least the other fighter. If someone gets put into a coma or killed it would also be assumed that they would work with the protecution.

Also I'm not a lawyer so I could be wrong in places but this is my memory of how Washington's "mutual combat law" actually works.

Oh and that reminds me, in my earlier post I'm pretty sure "Domestic partnership" is just "have they lived together at any point?" So it two people are roommates and fight it falls under domestic fight laws. If they used to live together it might be enough. I guess my point is I hope you're not trying to use legal loopholes and if you are uh, make sure you have a shady but smart lawyer.

First off, that dude lied to everyone about his charges, including me, scarface wasn't sheltering anyone.

Second, it IS illegal to pay fighters. You understand that amateur fighters don't get paid, correct? In fact amateur fight promoters profit off of admission, which we don't charge. I haven't made anything off of this and have no clue how much I'm going to, i enjoy this and building a ring had given me abd my friends a place to get together and train.

I was fully prepared to not make anything for quite some time, but got ahold of scarface... now we're here.

Its pretty bad to call scarface names like that, he does a lot for the fighters that you don't even know. Im not going to go into it because i don't know what he's ok with me saying, but listen to me on this, he takes care of his friends and fighters. He's a good person. You seem salty though.

Thanks for the info, i am aware of this though. Ive talked to several law enforcement. I went to my local park the other day and there were 2 police officers watching people box, they said they didn't care because people were wearing gloves.

If your main legal advice is coming from law enforcement, IE cops, I'm going to again stress you want to talk to a lawyer. Cops don't know the law, they enforce it. They're often happy to lie about the law to get you to break it. There is nothing keeping them from deciding one day they're not cool with people boxing in the park. Good luck.

Yeah, the "but this other cop said it was fine!" excuse isn't gonna fly if one of them wants to crack down on you. Talk to a criminal defense attorney and be certain of it.

You should definitely seek legal counsel from an attorney regarding this. There's a world of liability criminally and civilly that you can potentially be open to.

Regarding paying fighters, can't you legally give them a commission based on tickets sold? Like, they get their own promo code/flyer code/whatever and they get a % of the tickets that are purchased using said code.
