That four wide video is absolutely absurd. Like a scene from a movie to come from fourth to win in the last turn.

The 1995 Indy intro is an all time classic but Indy paying homage to the 50th anniversary of the moon landing and Mario's win is unquestionably better https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndcjd4fPxK8 (I may be biased)

Here is where I have to make an obligatory brag post about literally standing right behind the finish line camera on the third floor of the pagoda. The crowd energy was incredible, as soon as they went three wide the place erupted, and with the finish it was the loudest I’ve heard the place on carb day.

indycar would appel immensely to the euro market, yet they seem to make it as hard as possible to actually watch. Apparently New Zealand can't really get anything but the races, which is crazy considering Dixon

Yeah, I'm in the UK and fortunate enough to have access to Sky F1 so I can watch the races at least, but right now they're showing a re-run of last weekends Porsche Supercup race, followed by a documentary re-run.

Lol Marco, stuck at the entrance of the pits and can’t get it into neutral to be towed. This track hates the Andretti family.

Don't know about the fastest single lap since Arie's 237.498 in '96, but the fastest four lap average since then is Dixon's 232.164 in 2017 with the Honda aerokit. Given that the lap speeds usually decrease 0.5-1MPH across the four laps, we're still a bit short of that as well. The current aerokit doesn't have the same downforce/drag ratio of the manufacturer kits. Looking back at the pole speeds, it makes sense that they capped speeds when they did. The first 23x pole (Gurrero at 232.482 in 1992) was only three years after the first 22x pole (Mears, 223.885 in 1989). Thanks to the 1997 IRL cars being loving poo poo, Arie also owns the slowest pole speed since 1987, and the only one below 220 since 1988.
