Decided to try the Turkish “Cilbur” eggs recipe on a bialy and it it was also delicious!

For me, the bialys I get around my town don’t have enough garlic in them, so the spiced garlic flavor from the Cilbur goes really good with them.

Not to bad at all...on the rare occasion that I get my omelette to finish looking that good, I sort of hate to eat it :)

I know what you mean. Instead of eating it I’d rather get it bronzed with a plaque that says, “See, I can make good looking omelettes, but just not when anyone else is watching.”

apologies for the basic-rear end breakfast, but I found that the thorny vines all along my property line aren't just painful bastards, but black raspberries! so I harvested like 8 pounds of the little shits and made some delicious pancakes with them both to eat now and to freeze. the flavor raw and cooked is completely different, it's surprising how much it changed. they're really sour raw, but cooked they taste like regular ol' raspberries, just without the crippling price.

gonna make some black raspberry crumble and other stuff with them too, a shame they only last about 48 hours.

Wild blackberries can be hit or miss, they are usually pretty sour until right before they're over ripe. I still shove a handful in my mouth any time I find a bush.

A classic breakfast plate I make sometimes had cottage cheese, fried mushrooms, sauerkraut, a bratwurst and mustard.

I use a spoon. Straight up, love it.

Calorically, it's richer then full fat yogurt. Decent protein. I usually have a cup of cottage in the morning, then an apple or other fruit at 11ish, a light lunch at 2 or 3. I'm calorie counting, and it's working so far.

Smoked a pork shoulder yesterday, and for the life of me I can’t seem to construct a good picture of a pulled pork sandwich to save my rear end. Always looks weird.

A pulled pork breakfast on the other hand seems to take a nicer picture.

I know it looks like I puked up a pot roast, but I assure you this was delicious.

I was going to make sausage gravy, but then I spotted a container of carnitas I made a few days ago and though "Why not?" So I tossed them in a skillet and once the fat rendered down a little I dusted it with flour and poured in some chicken stock. A little salt, a lot of black pepper, a pinch of cayenne, and boom, Carnitas Gravy was born.

This carton of eggs had some very fragile yolks, hence the half assed scramble.

There's some brioche toast buried in there too.

Kimchi is awesome with anything. There’s an Asian market about fifteen minutes from my house that I’m kicking myself for not having checked out yet :suicide:

Yeah, we normally have back bacon (Canadian) here, so we don't have it super crispy generally.

But also 40 rashers of bacon was causing quite a large fireball on the grill, hence taking them off a bit early.

Cripsy bacon is great, but in a sandwhich I prefer a little chewy.

This is basically what was happening constantly with all that bacon on there, which is why I pulled it a little early .
