Even if you've never heard of Nura it doesn't really matter, it's a decent example. Heck, it actually might make this a lighter schedule, since Nura only ran for 4 years and he wouldn't have had constant meetings with editors to make sure one of their flagship series was doing well. Two hours of sleep on Monday, only 3 hours of free time a week, obviously skipping meals. Even if you don't count the meetings or him touching base with his assistants this is literally a 100 hour work week. It's why I cut pretty much any weekly manga author some slack for wonky story developments or their art getting simpler. If Kubo refusing to draw backgrounds got him an extra hour of sleep a day, the dude earned it.

Monthly work or a duo undertaking simply seems so much more appealing. I suppose it's so culturally ingrained as the default mangaka model that a lot of people go for it anyway. Vinland Saga is another manga that improved tremendously after the leap from weekly to monthly publication. It seems to be a good move for both the health of an author and the health of a series in general.

For context on the art especially, a little into Steel Ball Run down at the bottom is when Araki changed from a weekly to monthly magazine and you can absolutely notice.  Also I always love that late Phantom Blood, Jonathan really did just turn into vampire slayer Kenshiro. And 4/Diamond Is Unbreakable went through the most major style swaps in one part probably, but to me it also got one of the most pleasing styles in general when it had it's own unique one in the more mid point there. The style morphs are also pretty funny to watch happen, when it started off carrying a lot of that Brick Von Bicep super chiseled physicality from 1-2-3, then over time turned so much softer, cuter and way more balanced out, you had stuff like Hazamada being built like a brick shithouse at first, to becoming this little shortie reformed weirdo.

It's stuff like this that also demonstrates why major American publishers will split the workload up on the comic-making process and still avoid doing weekly comics because holy poo poo is it a nightmare. DC's 52 series was the best attempt at a sprawling weekly comic and it had three writers pulling it together. The main artist on the series made a joke about wanting to hang himself at the end of it rather than do more.
