STILL TRYING HARD
I don't know if it's because this year has loving sucked or if it's just something that happens when people reach a certain age but lately I've been main-lining trips into childhood and seeking out things buried deep in the recesses of my memory.

This things make me feel sad and happy at the same time. There's something about these cartoon theme songs that I find really haunting. I was probably about 3-4 when this stuff imprinted on me, so maybe it was just that these were the most exciting and visually interesting things I'd seen at the time. I can barely remember anything from that age but this stuff I knew word for word over three decades later.

No they wore stuff that had pictures like this on it, like there's a whole line of gangbanger looney toons that all the "hard" kids wore. Also yes they were furries.

Spartakus, Mysterious Cities of Gold, and Belle and Sebastian were so endlessly fascinating to me that they were basically the only shows that could be on that would keep me from just watching my tapes of the Goonies or Ghostbusters over and over. French-Japanese animation collaborations are clearly something that need to return. Here is where I find our they are not French-Japanese

Beginning of the year I had a super nostalgic phase where I kinda revisited my teenage years. One memory that I have is playing ragnarok online, one of the first mainstream MMORPGS, so I played on a private server for a few days and had a great time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DuvYC3zENI&t=33s

That game was very simple but still I spent hours in it.

OFF MY MEDS AGAIN PLEASE DON'T USE BIG WORDS

UNNECESSARY LINE BREAK
I mostly like older stuff. But I was watching Universal Horrors and Godzillas in the 80s and listening to 60-70s rock in the early 90s. I've never really cared if it's new or old. Long as its good, cheap, or interesting. (Generally ya pick 2.)

But what game came in the mail yesterday for my Colecovision?

Frogger on a Wednesday my dude(tte)s? Yes.

and some Spy Hunter while I'm there.

On an early 00s 19 inch rf only crt I've had laying around no less.

Course later in the day I remade my Gamecube PSO 1-2 character into PSO2 so its also semi nostalgia?

And should I mention when I did some errands I was listening to a podcast about Robotech?

Vvvv I tried going back to that one a few years back. It doesn't hold up at all. Vvvv

Since we live in a soup of readily available culture from the 50's onwards, anyone of any age can have nostalgia for a time the didn't belong to. For instance I have a love of the 70's despite the fact that I was born only at the very end of the 70's. I like the fashion, the media, the aesthetics and the culture of that time. Also the 70's were in many ways much more culturally significant in many ways than people give it credit for, especially in North America. It was a time when the dreams of the 50's and 60's were starting to die. Also, gotta love those dark wood and brick tones on everything.

One good thing about the past was that nostalgia was considered a sickness, not a popular entertainment. There's a reason it sounds like neuralgia.
To be fair this was when the main childhood entertainments were killing rats with a stick, polio, and church.
