Well against all odds, the MLS Is Back Tournament went off without a hitch (if you ignore the two teams that got kicked out for a rash of positive tests before the tourney kicked off, but that's just a minor detail, amirite?). Unfortunately some terrible team that nobody likes won it, so let's not talk about it any further. The league's plan is for each team to play 6 matches in the span of about 2 weeks, then 12 more still-to-be-scheduled matches before an 18 (!!!) team playoff that concludes in December...although if you're one of the three Canadian teams you aren't doing jack poo poo right now because their country has Anywho, Nashville and Dallas kick things off tomorrow as the first of their 3 makeup games they'll play against each other (2 in Dallas, 1 in Nashville) since they were the aforementioned teams kicked out of the tourney and therefore didn't participate in the group stages where the points carried over into the regular season Oh, and here's the standings.
