I am actually genuinely surprised that the ultimate try-hard s*ck & tw*sted bogey man musician from the ‘90s was, after all, genuinely a hosed up monster. For most people who weren’t fans of his music, like myself, I think he was portrayed as an eminently reasonable person off the stage (I’m thinking his interview in Bowling for Columbine, for instance), and so his on-stage persona was seen as a joke.

I can play a couple of 30StM songs on guitar but wasn’t a fan of this dude and he’s a legit terrible actor, IMO, but I guess he made enough money to buy an island then have his rich fans fly to this island to become his groupie wives...
