It's literally mocking laughter represented visually most of the time, and instead of being like "hey your post was out of line because of x reason" it's just someone lording their power to silence you and it makes it basically impossible to disagree in good faith they know it is, they know its really sucks when people are just completely dismissive when youre trying to say something important. lots of them probably experienced this in their life, not literally in the form of dumb rear end gif probe reasons and gently caress OFF but other ways. but now they get to do it, they're doing it for the Good Reasons, it feels really fun and cool and all your friends are laughing, it isnt lame poo poo at all to gently caress with people in the exact same way you found really frustrating when it happened to you.
