Marvelous, OZ Academy and Sendai Girls are all live streaming press conferences about "the future of women's wrestling" at 3pm JST on the 27th and unless all three of them independently came up with the same idea I guess that its the same thing. First thought is that considering that the three promotions doing this are the GAEA legacy promotions that its GAEAISM related: Mayumi Ozaki and the other OZ Academy wrestlers were a notable absence from that show since, well, Ozaki is sort of important in the history of GAEA is that its linked to GAEAISM: the GAEA 25th anniversary show that was postponed to January earlier this year. I don't think you can rule out it being anything else though: if it was related to a show that's already announced wouldn't you call it a GAEAISM press conference rather than it being done by the three promotions independently. If it is anything more its notable since Nagayo and Ozaki don't seem to have worked with each other since GAEA folded and from a quick look OZ Academy signed wrestlers haven't worked any Marvelous talent ever so it'd be two of the promotions that don't work with each other starting to work with each other.

It's clearly GAEA related but idk what. Maybe after CyberFight it could be them financially hurting and think pulling together and pooling their resources is the best option. I kinda hope not cos the three promotions have unique characteristics that I wouldn't want diluted. e: maybe not GAEA related, Pure-J are involved which is the JWP successor promotion https://twitter.com/piko3purej/status/1297779045816397825?s=19 GEORGE W BUSHI fucked around with this message at 12:30 on Aug 24, 2020 |

SEAdLINNNG are also involved in the big press conference. They're live streaming their fifth anniversary show on YouTube too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Syz0aWktbeM Main event is Yoshiko & Hiroyo Matsumoto vs Best Friends (Arisa and Tsukka not Dustin and Greg)

SEAdLINNNG are also involved as well so unless all of these promotions are merging (which REALLY wouldn't work) its not that. I assume a super show of some sort but who knows.

Teams for this thing were chosen in an interesting way: the twelve most junior wrestlers in the field chose a partner from the twelve most senior wrestlers in the field with the least experienced wrestler picking first - other than Suzu Suzuki who as current ICExInfinity champion chose her partner last and ended up with Maya Yukihi who she defeated for the title a few weeks ago. In addition, other than defending champions Orange Sunrise who were allowed to remain a team, wrestlers were not allowed to pick a person that they'd teamed with previously in this tournament. There's some disagreement over whether BANDE was chosen because its German for bond (Maika Ozaki says this is what it is) or as a shortened form for "boobs and enemy" (Ram Kaichou and fellow RebelxEnemy member Maya Yukihi claim that was their intention) which is a very Ice Ribbon disagreement to have. "Shishimai Potato" . Also the Syuri/Tae Honma team are apparently called "Favourite". In entirely unrelated news: Yoshiko announced that she's releasing a cookbook next month! https://twitter.com/sg_oxxt/status/1298173403245891589?s=19

SEAdLINNNG are doing Yoshiko vs. Sareee for the title on September 24th. I guess it's a pretty funny turnaround that Sareee quit SEAd because they wouldn't let her wrestle for WWE and now she's back at SEAd because she couldn't wrestle for WWE.

Emi apparently said on the ChocoPro stream today that she was invited to send a match in but felt that it wouldn't be right to do that since Gatoh Move aren't running shows in front of fans at the moment, nor are Gatoh Move wrestlers working other shows.

Itoh vs. Mizuki was the match I was most excited to see and drat if it didn't deliver. And in the undercard, I'm glad Mahiro is getting a real thing to do now in her teaming with Kamiyu. It's always fun to watch when a rookie gets to elevate their character and I like their genuine odd-couple friendship.
