Aru had the same thing happen to him. Just looked totally dead.

Cycling doesn't exactly have a great track record when it comes to testing so a third of the peloton probably has COVID.

That would be really dangerous with so many of them being asthmatic.

Sagan is going to get peno'd again.

I thought he bounced off the barrier, but it looks like he just dove left.

Yeah he barged wout van art out the way, could easily get DQ'd

I don’t think he did anything wrong in the Cavendish crash but what he did now didn’t look too good.

That overhead shot at the line really doesn't look like Sagan came second.

Wout, being new to road sprinting, left a lane open next to the barriers. Sagan took it and asserted himself. That sanction/relegation is pretty bullshit if you ask me.

Eh, he's got form already and should know better

It didn't seem that terrible but after what happened to Jakobsen in Poland you have to think they're extra sensitive to it.
|
# ? Sep 9, 2020 20:05 |

Yeah it was not the worst sprint infraction but in the context of recent events there's no way he wasn't getting relegated

Overhead loop for your hot take analysis https://i.imgur.com/LIY3p7x.mp4 I see enough drifting from Wout just as Sagan closes to warrant that shoulder shove. After the shove, Sagan goes straight for a bit and then leans left a touch. Wout moves left pretty much in tandem and only does a half-hearted throw. It looked like he saw Bennett coming in and didn't want to risk anything at the line. Even if he threw well, he'd already lost too much speed to edge Sagan. I initially saw Sagan's post shove riding as intentional lane blocking, but now it looks at worst intentionally borderline.

If Jakobsen did what Sagain did, he would still have his own teeth. I just found out there is a 90kg rider in the tour, Max Walscheid just became my new favorite rider.

If the TdF organizers want to prioritize rider safety, how about: 1) Not having those perpendicular triangular foam advertising signs on the fences? 2) How about setting up two layers of barriers to keep idiot fans from leaning over with their phones? (this happens at every single race)

Zakarin abandons and I now have no reason to watch the TdF mountain stages.

Zakarin got tired of everyone dunking on his descents so he quit. Sad.
