a literal thing you think.

I think it's more likely that Chandler attempted to be the fall guy given the combination of his early involvement, the quick exoneration, and lack of playing time.

At this point season wouldn't happen until Jan/Feb right? Guess they don't have to have anything decided right now either way.

Seems like indoor sports with fans and any travel is a bad idea but maybe by then stuff looks different.

Why are they still aiming for an 82-game season? Tons of people want to shorten it anyway, please don't bring back the back-to-back-to-backs and four games in five nights from the last lockout. The quality of play was just awful. Unless they're going to shorten the next offseason too

Also thanks for letting me know it's Friday.

Then she shouldn’t have made it past all those security checkpoints to get to the drat room anyway, lol! That’s what I don’t understand! If they were really concerned about security and keeping the bubble safe this ole girl shouldn’t have been able to get to his drat room! I still wouldn’t discount a possible setup going on. I don’t think the girl was involved in setting him up or she would’ve ratted him out instead of trying to involve Chandler and another unnamed player who was probably another scrub who doesn’t play. But I think possibly she set off red flags and could have stopped but they decided to let it play out and nail him (after she nailed him, lol!) after the fact. You know how bad they want LeBron in the finals. Hell, LeBron’s camp knew the details before seasoned NBA investigate reporters did! I wouldn’t even put it past Lebron’s circle being involved from the jump!

Summary of amazing posts from around the internet:

Houston Fans posted:

Welp, the league managed to finagle a way to get a key Rockets player
out of the playoffs, which of course makes the task of winning the next three (3) games in a row even more difficult than it already is.

Anything for those sweet sweet LA dollars which somehow seem to be more valuable than dollars from other (non-coastal) cities. And you maximize your LA dollars by getting both LA NBA teams to play against each other for the full seven (7) game series. All the while calling it things like, "Epic!"; "Inevitable!"; "The best playoff series of all time!"; "Only the best players here!"; "Non-coastal teams suck, and we have the ‘proof’ right here!", and so on.

Sounds kinda like those short blurbs you hear in ads for upcoming movies and TV series, which are nothing but empty hype. Not really nutritious for the sports fan’s soul, you know?

Houston Fans posted:

As far as storyline goes. Either we have LeBron winning another chip to solidify his "legacy" or have him passing the torch to Kawhi like Magic Johnson passing the torch to MJ in his first finals win. And all these people out there who say I’m just a "conspiracy theorist" are plain naive! Listen to Tim Donaghy. The league doesn’t outright script the outcomes like professional wrestling but each ref crew gets memos before every game on things the league wants them to watch out for and things they want you to make an emphasis on calling. They try and manipulate the outcome as much as possible. Just like a dealer at a casino. People can still win from time to time and beat the house but you’re basically playing with a fixed deck every time.

Houston Fans posted:

Welcome to the World of Houston Sports.
We know, know, that in MLB many teams have done what the Astros did. Going back decades. We know that contemporaneous teams, Yankees, Red Sox, quite likely, Dodgers, have done similar things. But the Astros are the villains, and the worst of all teams. Even though we ALSO have proof that Boston did it and won a WS.

So when something like this happens, it’s just par for the damned course. Something ALWAYS happens to Houston teams, even if they do beat the best teams of all time, and no one can prove they got an edge.

I’m sure others are doing the same in the bubble. I want to know, who dropped the dime on the Rockets, but not other teams?

If it turns out to somehow be Chris Paul? I wouldn’t be shocked.

If its like most hotels, you'll have a security camera pointing from each end of the hallway so they were able to see someone go in and not leave for a long time. That said, I do think that means someone to get this all started did have to snitch.

Skip Bayless: “I don’t have sympathy for him going public with, I got horny, I suffered horniness early in COVID to the point that I couldn’t even go work out. The sport that you play, it is dog eat dog. It is no compassion, no quarter given on the basketball court. If you reveal publicly any little weakness, it can affect your team’s ability to believe in you in the toughest spots and it can definitely encourage others on the other side to come after you.”
