I just noticed how well-rigged Amelia's avatar is. The mouth syncs up with her speech much more naturally than the others. There was some weird belief back in the early 00's that if people used their real name online they would be more polite and you could hold people more accountable for their actions. Turns out that people are just going to be creepy belligerent assholes anyway, law enforcement won't take online threats seriously, and now the stalkers know where to find you. Being a vtuber is just the modern equivalent of having an anime avatar next to your username on an online forum. It's not new, it's just a different flavor of the old.

She'd definitely have been better off just calling an end to it after an hour/during the sewer section and picking it back up after practicing (which she said she will do) though.

Haha, I get it. But it doesn't seem like it sticks. There's still streamers that do voice only, but facecams have become commonplace for some reason. "If only there was a way to show the internet my facial expression without showing them I'm a greasy nerd", one might have said. Vtuber avatars seem like at least one solution to that.
