The US is becoming small to them. I keep saying half jokingly that Amazon and Disney are going to be the first real world equivalents to the AAA Corps from Shadowrun. All they are missing are the private militaries and being literally recognized as sovereign states until themselves.

If the studio was smart they should've delayed it until next summer. https://deadline.com/2020/09/tenet-broken-hearts-gallery-warner-bros-sony-weekend-box-office-1234575805/ To preface, theaters here are only 25% capacity. Even for an IMAX laser room that holds more people, it was the cleanest I've ever seen a theater with plenty of space between moviegoers. That said, the low capacity thing was gonna tank the numbers anyways. Just keep it running exclusively in theaters for a full year and it'll make its money back. At least it's a movie that warrants a rewatch.

The kid suffered for something like ten years in a semi-vegetative state before passing away.

I worked in a warehouse, and the policy was if there was a need to call 911, you were to call security (which meant finding a phone, which were only in the supervisors' offices) and then security would call 911.

Rageaholic posted:Good enough to go to a theater during a plague to see? I'd say so. I went to an afternoon showing at a big multiplex. I picked the largest theater possible. There were 6 other people in a room built for hundreds. I felt like the danger was way less than I face at work every day. The closest human to me was at least 30 feet away. I wore my mask the entire time. I called it a "theater movie" because for me there's theater movies and the rest. Theater movies are the ones you should watch on a big screen if you can. For instance I did see The Personal History of David Copperfield two weeks ago, and it was amazing, but you could get just as much enjoyment out of it on a small screen as a big one. Tenet is a theater movie. Seriously the virus is real and it's hosed up but if you take precautions and see a film while wearing a mask in a giant room with 10 people or fewer what's wrong with that?? Don't be a bunch of joyless scolds.

Maybe it's because I still have to go into work 5 days a week but I would go spend two hours in a theater. Most of them anymore let you see what seating is like before you go so you can see exactly how packed it is and if it's going to be hell or not. Like my daily interactions are with people who have driven through multiple states and sometimes come from across the border. Most of them don't wear masks and have very strong opinions about the whole mandate . I'll press my luck with a movie
