Guess I'll get off my rear end and finally transfer ships, time to pull all my inventory back out of premium/material storage e. It's funny how many casino coin passes I've stockpiled. Like others have said, it seems really hard to lose, unless I dunno you're just playing Arkuma Slots and have bad luck / don't know when to stop, or you're really bad at blackjack? I've been playing Rappy Slots between missions / before I log off for the night and have been averaging like 2-300 coins a day profit just mashing the enter key (occasionally mashing it more carefully when the bonus triggers). Welp, I finally beat the Phaleg duel as Br/Hu. HP and Defense seemed to matter very little, I was getting by on Iron Will, the temporary invincibility Iron Will gives you, and Katana Combat's invincibility. And COPIOUS amount of katana parries. survival seemed to be based entirely on perfectly timing a parry. My best advice to anyone else trying it is that all of her attacks are telegraphed, and only one of them isn't telegraphed by a voiced line, it's preceded by her silently bowing.

Braver is probably one of the better choices, it's not one of the original classes so it feels less clunky than hunter, your rotations are pretty simple so you can easily get away with only using maybe 3-4 PAs, and you have block/counter, Hu sub, and katana combat to not die if needed. You also don't really need to swap weapons in most cases. The only problem is anime sword is very commonly played and you will pay for it if you buy your gear.

For UQs I just hang back, let the close up people do their thing and fling arrows. And I pretty much stick to 3-4 PAs, Strike Bomber for wiping out crowds and dealing heavy damage to single targets while still remaining mobile, Final Nemesis for doing a little more damage on stuff where it's safe to remain stationary for like 5 seconds (like bosses that are not attacking and exposing their weak points), Penetrating Arrow for taking out long / spaced apart crowds that aren't grouped together for Strike Bomber (like the rows of zombies in Tokyo bonus mission) and general faster cheaper crowd control, and I like Torrential Arrow too for some situations.

I'm garbage at FPS games on a controller, I'm never going to hit a weak point again.

I have never once used this PA lol also: I forgot to check before and casino coins don't transfer ships with you, whoops! oh well I have like 30 of the coin card things and a few sessions at slots or Really Expensive Slots will get me back where I was, only left behind like 6k. Maybe I'll start character 3 on ship 3 someday and get them

Million Storm has its uses (it's a great long range sweeper of weaker enemies which will come in handy for some ep5 content) but some people just lean on it way too much.

I ended up loving around with Fighter, Force, and Braver getting them all to 20ish. On different characters because I have the brainworms. Also, this game's dub is the most frustrating goddamn thing. All these talented performers struggling against the fact that they're being directed by a farting chimpanzee.

Do the new classes like Hero actually play different? They don't bring any new weapons to the table, right? Do those weapons have the same movesets as the other classes that can use them, just with a new passive tree?

Sword's weapon action is a ranged attack, machine guns usage is a lot more fluid, and the talis has its own attacks, not just being a way to reposition techniques. You can reposition yourself with the talis, too. Also, I think perfect dodges damage the enemy, but it's been a while. Edit: not to mention that there are photon arts that attack, then switch to a different weapon.

For instance, when Heroes use swords they have a much quicker swing and their weapon action becomes the ability to shoot energy bullets.

Weapon mechanics are extremely different in a Scion's hands, to the point where you really have to distinguish if you're talking about the weapon in their original class' hands or a Scion.

From my understanding the Scion classes are extremely strong at the cost of also being infinitely more complex than anything else in the game For instance Hero can do pretty much anything and put out some insane numbers but you have to basically not get hit ever

So I take it there's going to be a ton of people leveling Hero as soon as that patch hits? Are people still bothering with VHAQ/SHAQ farming to get subclasses to 75-80 or is it better to get a class to 70 and start burning tickets with your best xp boosts going?
