They announced the Ms. Marvel creative team, so based on how they did that with She-Hulk and then revealed the main lead soon after, I would expect we'll find out who is playing her relatively soon.

A move that was touched on in Image’s Savage Dragon not long after, where a dying friend with AIDS asked Dragon for a transfusion. He obliged, because he was his friend and Dragon wasn’t an rear end in a top hat. Sure it didn’t turn out for the best, but at least he tried.

I wonder how many heroes have stories about their blood. Cap definitely does. Arguably both the highest and lowest points in all of Spider-Man's history has to do with his blood. The Master Planner Saga kicks off because of a transfusion for Aunt May and then obviously the Clone Saga is self-explanatory.

The thing about these prestigey tv shows is that an actor isn't nearly as tied to one because the shooting schedule isn't as insane as broadcast tv. Plus, they've already said Kamala is going to make the jump to movies so that's a nice bonus. My question is how much value should be placed in getting someone who is actually of Pakistani descent to play the part?

In this case yes, that would be ideal, because Muslim actresses are offered extremely few roles and very biased and often times stereotyped roles due to their religion.
