We had not left it yet, but when I would wake in the night, I would lie, listening, homesick for it already.

All in all: a great tour. After a nightmarish decade that’s not bad. Not bad at all.

Definitely one of the better Tour's. Wonder if the sky train will be back in full force next year.

On to the Giro and Vuelta :toot:

That's a whole week and a half away, we have the entire world championships between now and then.

It's kind of weird for the riders to walk onto the podium with their random victory trash already in hand

I actually kind of liked the quickie podium ceremonies they used this year.

Tour was fun, but I would have liked to see more attacking GC riding. 2011 remains the GOAT modern tour.

Also bring back La Plange as a MTF already.

It's a double edged sword for fun racing but an ITT at the start can create the gaps to force people to make moves.

Bennet was lantern rouge in 16. Think he got injured on an early stage but carried on.

Should be a juicy world TT champs, pretty flat so suits the purists.

Ganna obviously the favourite but you've got Dennis (unless he decides he doesn't like his pinarello), WvA, Thomas, Cavagna and even Tom D is saying he's doing numbers similar to when he was world TT champ.
