It's Monday which means the Two Minutes to Late Night crew return with a cover of "Rain When I Die" from what I consider a pretty much flawless record. Dailor from Mastodon and a guy from Russian Circles round out the cast of usual suspects. The guy doing lead vocals (Justin Suitor, Painted Wives) is doing a pretty spot on Stayley impersonation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaFhpxkr7Sw It's ... aiite. REZN's new album Chaotic Divine is out on streaming services. I like how they kinda have a vibe/world for each album and the album art and the sound of the music all fit together. lots of middle eastern scales and sounds on this one to go along with the desert theme. still only a few tracks in but they have dialled back the fuzz quite a bit.

I've been jamming the new LP from The Pilgrim and it's pretty good. Probably more stoner doom adjacent, since it's acoustic hippy jams probably owing more to indie folk or the Dead than Sabbath. Honestly, it reminds me a lot of the Jesus and Mary Chain record Stoned and Dethroned. New REZN is tasty for sure. There's also a new Pelican live album (live at the Grog Shop) available on streaming. It must be fairly recent since it features tracks from the album they dropped in 2019. I haven't given it a full listen yet, so can't attest to the quality. I miss live shows.
