Saw TheNinHotline retweet this, an anti-Trump PAC did a video using "Less Than". It seems to me like they got the multitracks, which is the main reason I find it noteworthy here, but I could be wrong.

The point I'm trying to make is that the only way to come out on top is to kick the Air Force in the nuts, beart it savagely with a weight and take a dump on it's face.
I remember David Fincher speaking about a Fight Club musical a few years back and mentioning Reznor. That would either be brilliant or most likely be a total dumpster fire but we could get a heartfelt song about Robert Paulson's tits out of it.

In related news, Disney/Pixar's Soul has just been moved to a Christmas Day drop on Disney+ (no premium pricing).

Oh, one night I was lying in bed and thought of something:

When NIN was on tour with MM they did a little one-off show at a club with Dee Snider singing Twisted Sister songs. If I remember right, Robin Finck played guitar and Twiggy played bass, not sure who was on drums. There was an audience recording of the gig but it might be lost to the sands of time now. I believe the show happened in New York somewhere.

I think they called themselves 'Sick Motherfuckers'

I finally got it today, sheesh. Ordered on the 16th, "shipped" on the 17th, arrived nearly a month later. It didn't show tracking until Monday evening, but actually in the mail on the 8th.

I think that is legally distinct enough that they can get away with playing “I am grant’s song” in that commercial and not get sued.

There's also a signed Nick Cave poster and some stuff from Lesley Rankine who I think is NIN-adjacent somehow?

I don't know if there's an explicit connection with Lesley Rankine. She did some stuff with Pigface just like Trent did. The other half of Ruby eventually became Skinny Puppy's new producer when Dave Ogillvie went over to the NIN camp.

I'm listening to this new album EDM artist Tchami released called Year Zero and wishing I was listening to NIN's instead. Cant have the same name and avoid comparison, especially when every other album with that name is guaranteed to be inferior to NIN's :cmon:

At the DC show a couple of years ago he said something like “I don’t think anyone in the room is happy about what’s going on in this city, but I’m not going to get up here and go off about that all night” and I thought that was a good way to acknowledge the sentiment without breaking the mood.

Mark Walk did a lot with Ogre's own band as well. Rankine did way more with Pigface than Reznor ever did. He was probably already a quickly rising star when he showed up on Gub (and that tour) and when Broken came out he obviously shot way into the stratosphere above Atkins and his wacky collective.

It's pretty interesting what he says about Napster and how the bottom eventually dropped out of the market if you were a middle of the pack artist. I don't know whether he's right about the ultimate cause being Napster but I've thought a lot about similar stuff.

Edit: Looking further through his answers he said he got invited to the hall of fame induction so it wasn't a total snub. He also said the biggest reason Tapeworm was never released is that for the most part there was never anything but some rough ideas/jams that they were too busy to finish.
