people always say that scent is the strongest sense tied to memory, but is it me or does that seem to only go one way? I can definitely smell something and feel like it's taking me back to a particular time and place, but even though I smelled these a thousand times as a kid, the only ones I have any sense of being aboe to recall what they smelled like are orange and lemon, which smelled like every other fake orange and lemon scents, and licorice, which I just remember smelling... oppressive
