I guess it makes sense that a bad team would need to dope or skirt rules to stay relevant more than a good team, but still laughing at Arkea getting dead last in prize pool and then the next day a doping scandal emerges.

Lmao this would be perfect.

Also turns out Nairoman was still poo poo, he just left Movistar and went to a team that pumped him full of all the top shelf stuff. I wonder if that's why his form was so useless once they got back to a proper testing schedule?

They did a terrible job marketing this thing. I literally didn't know they were touring until the last day of the race. I thought it was still cancelled. I look at lots of sports websites and I'm really disappointed, I love having the race on

It looks like Quintana was part of a little doping ring then. The team have stepped back and basically gone 'It wasnt our doctors, it was their entourage' and if theres any evidence of doping they're gone.

it's not going to appear on US sites (unless maybe you go digging) because there were like two US riders and they had no shot to do anything interesting

This is America. If you wanna watch this Eurotrash sport you gotta put in the work yourself. There is this obscure TV network called NBC that you've probably never heard of that you could start paying attention to at the start of summer.

This whole thing is not the doping scandal I was expecting, but I'll take it! For the record, I believe Arkea Samsic when they say they had no knowledge. It is my sincerely held belief that all the French teams who are members of MPCC (so, all the French teams) run a clean shop, so they have an excuse for sucking rear end

What if, and stay with me on this, they suck so much rear end they need to dope to still finish dead last?

Really good interview with Allan Peiper about the time trial. They reconned it several times including a full rehearsal in July. Used compact gears with 14-29 on the back for the road bike so he only had single tooth jumps on the climb and had the bike at 6.82kg so it was as light as possible.

Specialist rubber on the tires that will barely last the distance, carbon reinforced carbon brakes and isotruss frames so that riders come out of a crash with a hundred tiny stab wounds and a white hot disk brake embedded in their shin.

As far as I'm aware they only crash in the peloton due to lovely and heavy rim brakes so helium actuated carbon reinforced carbon disc brakes will solve that
