Yeah, I doubt many had him as being the best scorer in the 2020 playoffs:

fields had promising numbers his first year and then he suffered some kind of nerve damage that hosed up his ability to shoot. it could also just have been a fluky rookie year but he went from shooting .393 from three to .256 and (more telling) from .769 from the line to .562. It's very weird for someone's free throw shooting to collapse like that, and he proceeded to wash out of basketball entirely in 5 years so i think he legit was disabled by it.

Grant was my favorite low key free agent signing last offseason. Nice to be right about something for once, even though it took a Bojan injury to come true.

Even before he completely went to poo poo Fields was
a good example of a guy who was kind of okay getting blown up into something more entirely because he was Knick but yeah the injury definitely hosed him up. He was a lovely college free throw shooter all four years too though so some of it was just normal regression to the mean

oh for sure, even without the injury i think his celing was like, bojan bogdanovic or otto porter. third best guy on a playoff team maybe. but it was legitimately a good rookie season and not 100% new york hype like Renaldo Balkman or something

edit: i don't follow college basketball and didn't know that so maybe it really was just a fluke! we shall never know

bojan is way better, he's legit one of the best shooters in the league and was scoring 20 a game on good efficiency. you can actually run some offense through him

When I was 17, my father was so stupid, I didn't want to be seen with him in public. When I was 24, I was amazed at how much the old man had learned in just 7 years.
Not liking Jokic is hard to imagine especially when Murray is right there.

With Fields getting an FO gig, I want Coangelo to get aanother job to see that awkward negotiation.

For non-Rap fans that don’t remember the franchise existed in the dead times between Vince and Masai, BC had some crazy galaxy brain plan where signing Fields to a big offer sheet would somehow block the Knicks from being able to sign Nash as an FA leaving the Raps to sign him. It’s not like there are at least 3 ways where that could have horribly backfired in ways a 5 year old could have predicted even in that one sentence explanation.
