There was that ineos pinarello that exploded last year too.

Now imagine that, but it's all of it. The whole bike is never more than a few dozen degrees away from the force acting on it turning it into a massive crumple zone.

Does anyone have a favorite for worlds? It kind of reminds me of last year's course where there's a couple hard punches each lap. That was a really fun race to watch. I guess Wout has to be up there. I'm also really curious is Dygert can repeat her performance from last year.

I just want Dygert to actually like bikes. For the men it’s ganna be Ganna.

VAN Aert and Van Der Breggen for the road race. Ganna and Dygert for TT.

Not sure where VdP's fitness is at but it would be interesting to see them both going for it. I get the feeling with this year someone completely random will get it. I can't see anyone else but Ganna for the TT though. The man is an absolute monster right now.

Ganna is going well, but also the T-A TT was about as close as you can get to an individual pursuit off the track. I think last year was our "someone completely random" for the next while.

Has anyone ever won the ITT and road race in the same year? Wout could conceivably do it.

Dygert going well again Also Lizzy Banks riding an unbranded Cervelo P5 Rim (ie the previous version), probably because Chapter 2 don't make a TT frame.

USA Cycling say "conscious and talking", so hopefully not too bad. I don't see this putting her off though because she apparently hates riding bikes already.

Guys, do yourselves a favor and don’t search for photos of Dygert’s knee injury. It looks to me like potentially career ending stuff.

I'm guessing the metal barrier sliced through her leg as she slid along it?

serious gaylord posted:Did her front wheel fail? The tub looks like it came off maybe? Caley Fretz noted she was on clinchers...going to guess Corsa Speeds with latex tubes. I looked for clear signs of a flat in the slow-mo, but couldn’t see anything definitive. Her front wheel cocks right suddenly after she initiates her lean, and then the wobbles start from there. I’d almost want to say her front QR was loose, but her wheel probably would have flown off after the bike when flying.
