WWE executes their stories and the general product the way they do because they see their audience as gibbering morons so it's not like I've ever expected subtle storytelling from them.

I thought Roman/Jey was at worst perfectly fine. I enjoyed it. The only thing is I don't expect any kind of payoff so I don't think it's going anywhere. Jey isn't going to win the title so it's kind of wasted

I don't know if they'll follow through but it would be cool.

I enjoyed that quite a bit. Most of the match execution was good enough to good (including the pre show) and the stories were absurd in the way I like. I wouldn’t want every match to be Roman chatting with his fam but it was good tonight.
