So he likes trump. I don’t see how trek decided to kick him out just based on that. Was there anything else?

Gaslighting one of the most popular American cyclists who has rare, actual crossover marketing appeal by effectively telling him "there's no such thing as racism, you're just not good enough" probably didn't reflect well on ol' Quinn to the bike company who employs him to sell more bicycles.

I know Cory's older bro Justin IRL and he's a super nice dude, but did this guy say something other than "you aren't fast enough" or whatever? I think more of the problem is he's a square peg for a round hole as a crit racer in a USA development program that develops climbers and TTers pretty much exclusively. They'd probably have both been better off racing kermesses for a couple years instead of doing the lovely USA pro circuit and crits

They'd probably have both been better off racing kermesses for a couple years instead of doing the lovely USA pro circuit and crits Cory is an all-rounder who can unleash a monster sprint and ain't bad at climbing. He's like 64kg. He absolutely should have been fasttracked through the system. You don't just go sliding into someone's DMs saying you aren't good enough, especially as a punk 19 year-old kid with no real palmares of your own. And in hindsight it sure looks like casual racism.

Yeah I dunno, Eric Marcotte was a dentist, didn't go pro until his late 20s and won the USA road race at 34. Then there is Roglic of course. Talent shines through. Those development programs burn out as many promising racers as they produce.

Hmm Eric's skin seems white and so does Roglic's? Cory Williams is now 27 and he's clearly moved on to other, better things.

So yeah Quinn can gently caress off
