Yeah, I'm... kinda not feeling the Witches based on that trailer. Oh it looks like a good kids movie, but... the 1990 movie is (in my opinion) the gold standard for being both obviously for children and actually scary. The transformation of the original are just so good at looking painful and scary and wrong, through use of practical effects and a puppeteer who knew how to do freaky (RIP Jim Henson). What we saw in the trailer just looks so... weightless and quick, in comparison. I am, however, very much down for the "lonely kid bonding with Octavia Spencer" portion, though, that looks very cute.

Schumer doesn't control the Senate and track/trace and such is controlled by the executive (they're both terrible useless people, mind you). The bigger example of bipartisan fuckup is Cuomo in New York. But the buck ultimately stops with the president - if he hadn't hosed up at the beginning and had a national plan you wouldn't have had governors loving up down the road.

Personally I think there's no way Free Guy actually comes out in theaters in December. Everybody else is pushing their stuff back and also its a crapshoot whether or not any theaters will even be in business by then.
