It's pretty cool that PS5 will have all Souls games available on it. Demon's Souls Remake natively, and then backwards compatibility with Dark Souls 1 - 3, Bloodborne, and Sekiro.

I'm happy I've held off on Spiderman and GoT, since Spiderman is getting a 60fps remaster and GoT is going to run at 60 in backcompat. I've also held off on Ni-Oh, which has an unlocked high resolution mode that should also run at 60fps. I am holding out hope for an unlocked Bloodborne mode. Plz do this FROM! They won't

Does GoT get more interesting? I got to the point where there was forced stealth with your girly friend and gave up because I was bored outta my mind. Feels like an Assassin's Creed game from 5+ years ago. I like AC but would never play those again.

It opens up a lot by the end but doesn’t really change super fundamentally apart from your fully unlocked skill set being a bit broken. The game is a lot of fun on Lethal mode though, you and enemies both being significantly more fragile makes for some really tense fights, and the stunningly fast load times mean deaths are pretty unpunishing.

I don't think the average player would "notice the extra frames", but I think they would notice a better experience or "game-feel" even if they wouldn't be able to articulate why. It's one of the reasons that I think Call of Duty remains popular. This is assuming it's a mostly stable 60, which it should be.

You don't have to stealth much outside a few story missions. The combat owns.

No, later on when you meet up with her again and have to escort people through a village unseen. A few hours in. The combat is good but the story didn't grab me so I lost interest.

If you don't get wowed by the aesthetic and enjoy a pastiche of samurai bullshit I can see losing interest. You do get much more interesting abilities and stuff as it goes though.

Doubling the framerate reduces the input latency by quite a lot (not half, because there are other issues that contribute to latency and it's all additive). It's most noticeable when you move the camera around. It is possible to fudge it a bit if you have really good motion blur, but going from 60 FPS to 30 FPS always feels bad. I am looking forward to GoW at 60 FPS because right now it doesn't look right and hurts my eyes. Easy to tell it's only 30 FPS. Going to be 100% better at more frames

Games yes, but saves can't be transferred to the same external that you store games on (drives formatted that way will ONLY store games). You can transfer saves using another normally-formatted hard drive or USB stick, or through the cloud. But it sounds like this will get you 99% of the way there.
