I dunno, he could still gently caress it up by walling himself. But, he's an experienced trackboy so he shouldn't. He knows how to sit at his threshold.

I'm not too surprised by this list. I would say Sagan and Viviani stand out the most to me. Here's their ages as well.
I think this list helps the other one. Bunch of dudes that are old or getting old. Only a few guys still in what would be considered their athletic prime. Half of those guys are sprinters and I thiiiiiink being competitive at at sprinting falls off sooner than being competitive at endurance, but I can't find the source I was looking for. On that list I would guess Sagan gets the next win first. I'm also confident of the position I took two years ago. Cavendish will never win at this level again.

Cav is currently in the breakaway at Gent-Wevelgem, which gave me a sensible chuckle. Hell, maybe no one will chase?!?!!?

I was expecting this at the Tour but I guess they got lucky, and the Giro did not. I think cycling is just an exceptionally unsuitable sport for a pandemic.

There's been LOTS of people with no masks interacting with the riders. On the course and off it - think Sagan's "lift" from some randoms a week ago. That's clearly not a bubble. Didn't see any of that at the tour.

Apparently the neutral service and other staff have been staying at hotels outside the bubble too.

We're also just deeper into the second wave. But I'm not convinced the Tour was a 100% safe totally responsible thing to do. There were huge crowds and there was zero mask compliance and distancing.

There were huge crowds and there was zero mask compliance and distancing. It can be argued that the Tour helped spoke the latest outbreak in France. Go figure a sport that caravans across an entire country would be exceptionally good at picking up and spreading a pandemic along the way. RIP Giro. It's bullshit that best grand tour is getting hosed like this, but maybe doing sports in the middle of a pandemic outside an extreme NBA-style bubble is also bullshit.
