Lots of Americans are socially conservative and highly religious but not economically conservative. Most are Protestants not Catholics, but it's otherwise a very common attitude. More common than people who are economically conservative and socially liberal.

I read Hillbilly Elegy and it's one of the reasons I'm a braindead moron now, real mind killing stuff. Essentially he spends a couple hundred pages describing harrowing social deprivation (only white people count, but whatever), and then in the end he lands on his own unique version of Bootstraps Theory as a solution. It sucks poo poo

Dexter is coming back! No, but seriously, who asked for this? I liked the first couple seasons and then got bored and quit watching. I've heard very few positive things about the later seasons and the finale is one of the dumbest of all time. It seems like this is just picking up from the last episode, which retroactively makes it even worse.
