Good ol' thrash. Recently watched Rat Skates: Born in the Basement, a well done low budget doc by the original Overkill drummer. Was cool seeing them talk about how them and Slayer both used to look like vampires, and how they'd play punk covers and such before thrash metal existed. Also really enjoyed I Am Thor and Anvil - The Story of Anvil. Gotta love Canadian metal, and that underground unpretentious spirit. And a bit of nuttiness doesn't hurt. Decline of Western Civilization: The Metal Years is also really watchable. I also appreciated the Lemmy content in several of these. Always looking for a good rock doc. all this thrash talk has me thinking about S.O.D. again and I haven't listened to them in probably a year or two. speak english or die is a loving classic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhzLM_zR8Jo was lucky enough to see them back in 1999 on their farewell tour, and they were hands down one of the best live bands i've seen. danny lilker sat on a keg behind one of the bars of the venue and was just pouring brews for people, and the band could work the crowd from the stage like none other.
