Apparently this commercial convinced a bunch of five year-olds that a bus full of animal mascots would deliver toys to them, so they called that number and the company accepted credit card info from toddlers. There's a group of 40 year-olds out there that remember this as their first taste of advertising failing to deliver on promises. Me, I was a 90's kid. I was positive moon shoes were gonna change my life. Turns out it's just gators all the way down.

I remember hearing tales of middle school kids getting the actual Sweet Pickles Bus to show up at someone’s house as a prank or act of bullying.

In the eternal struggle of children’s literature to represent every letter of the alphabet with a different animal and hitting the stumbling block of the letter X, the Sweet Pickles franchise settled on Xerus, a genus of African ground squirrel. Introducing X-Rating Xerus, a pro censorship rear end in a top hat who disapproves of things.

I used to have a bunch of these from the children's section of Goodwill as a kid. Most thrift stores seemed to have a bunch. They're kind of like Berenstain Bears mixed with Richard Scarry but weirder.
