I had exactly one of these books as a (late 70s/ early 80s) child: "Goose Goofs Off". I have no idea what the rest of the books are like, but that lazy rear end in a top hat of a goose was one of my favorite stories as a six year old.

Basically Goose had a bunch of poo poo she needed to do but continually shirked responsibility with the phrase "I'm taking it easy today, I'll do it tomorrow."

My parents got to hate that book for obvious reasons.
