this game wont release this year, they are going to scrap the current gen version because it runs like poo poo. mid 2021 release i guess?

I’ve got no plans for the foreseeable future thanks to covid, so I’m not actually bummed or anything about the delay. Whatever it takes, just make sure it’s good. And yea, guess I’ll be playing the new watch dogs game next month.

This is getting delayed into next year. This is the pilot telling the passengers that’s theres a 15 minute delay knowing it’s an hour.

I almost wish I hadn't clicked on this thread  I've barely touched video games this year and Cyberpunk is one of the few I've been looking forward to. We were so close.. now I feel like they will just delay it to next year in a few weeks.

Isn't delaying to next year a huge loss of potential revenue bc Xmas? I wouldn't be surprised if they absolutely are forced to release the game in whatever state they have it 15 days before santa brings all the children their digital download keys.

I'm so glad I didn't take vacation days. On the other hand, I only took 4 vacation days this year and that's dumb, but boy am I ready for my vacation to rollover to the realistic timeframe where I can get both a new Zen 3 CPU and an RTX 3080 walking into Microcenter casually. The number and kinds of delays makes me seriously question whether the game will be worth playing near release. Witcher 3 was playable at release fine, but so much of the game coming together in the final couple years of development

I really can’t see them giving up the Xmas 2020 sales unless there is something seriously hosed. I think this will be the last delay (he says for the 3rd time this year). I haven’t played an Assassin’s Creed since the Ezio one, but it looks like I’m gonna spend a month being a Viking now.

A burn rate of $240m a year on development alone before marketing would be insane too. investors would be running for the hills, they've been in full production for 2 years and gradually scaling up over the 3+ before that. gta5 was 250 including marketing, RDR2 was rumored to be around 600 all in. The total for this after marketing will likey be around 400-500m.
